David S. Becker, M.D., FAAD, FACMS

Mohs Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology

Dr. Becker is a fellowship trained Mohs surgeon.

Dr. Becker graduated magna cum laude from Brown University and attended the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF). He completed his internal medicine internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital and returned to UCSF for his dermatology residency, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Becker completed his fellowship in Micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at Harvard Medical School. He completed a NIH research fellowship on molecular biology of basal cell carcinoma at Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital, and was on faculty at Harvard for 3 years, before coming to New York to start the Mohs surgery program at Cornell Medical Center. He directed the Mohs surgery unit at Cornell for four years before opening his own practice.

Dr. Becker has been selected as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for over two decades in a row. He has published several articles about cutaneous oncology. He is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology and served as the President of the Dermatological Society of Greater New York from 2013 — 2015. He teaches dermatological residents as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College.
